inventing methodologies2 calls for artists
to address their implicit methodologies and present their work-in-progress
in order to reveal the experimental dimension of practice-based
research.
We wish to extend the discussion beyond the practice/theory dichotomy
towards more fruitful alternatives. We encourage innovative, unorthodox,
unconventional and experimental projects that push the conventions
of established research practice. We welcome presentations that
are demonstrative of the actual research process, including presentations
which through narrative, rhetorics or perregistrationivity reflect
a concern with the research process.
We will provide appropriate presentation formats in order to accommodate
the particularity of every research project or research group, including
presentations, discussions, debates, performances and others suggested
by the proposals.
Please submit your abstract to methodologies@gold.ac.uk
Abstracts should be between 150 – 250 words
and should make clear the intended format of your paper or presentation.
The closing
date is Friday, December 8th, 2006.
If your presentation is selected for the workshop you will be
notified by Friday 15th December, 2006. |
