Anne Tallentire is an artist and Professor of Fine Art at Central Saint Martins
College of Art and Design. Her work employing a wide range of media including
film, installation, performance, photography, text, print, sound and video addresses
the politics of location and dislocation - focusing upon the shifting geographies
and demographics related to working practices of everyday life. Exhibitions
include, A Pursuit of Happiness, Gallery 3, Douglas Hyde Gallery, Dublin,
(2006), To Here, Bloomberg Space, London (2006), Drift, Void
Gallery, Derry (2005), Urban Storie, Reggio Emelia, Italy (2005), Arbeit,Galerie
im Taxipalais, Innsbruck (2005) Neue Welt,Frankfurter Kunstverein, Frankfurt
(2001) and Instances, sole representative - Irish Pavilion, Venice Biennale
(1998). Another significant aspect of Tallentire’s practice is her involvement
with John Seth in the ongoing collaboration work-seth/tallentire. Their projects
include Densité + 0, (work-seth/tallentire) Fri-art,
Fribourg (2004), Sum of the Parts, South London Gallery (2002), trailer,
Project Arts Centre, Dublin (1998).
