I was reading about quantum physics at the time and I am still fascinated with the idea that we can influence things just by measuring or observing them. A measurement is the solution between two (or more) possibilities.

In 1999 Yiannis Melanitis made Predictable Lab in response. He amplified the idea by suturing two other realities, the physical and the virtual. Our discussions led to a short-lived collaborative project with 13 artists that we provisionally called If No One Starts No One Will Move (1999), about artists falling in love with each other’s work and producing work in their place, more about that another time.
